Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Your unforgettable 10-day private journey through Morocco begins in Marrakech. After your arrival, we’ll transfer you to your hotel or Riad. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the enchanting city of Marrakech, including its main attractions and monuments, such as the iconic Jamma el Fna square, the historic Kotubia mosque, bustling souks, and magnificent palaces. You may also discover the modern district of Gueliz and explore the tranquil Menara Gardens. Your day ends with an overnight stay in Marrakech, complete with dinner and breakfast.
Day 2: Marrakech to Dades Gorges via Ait Benhaddou and Ouarzazate [326 km]
Today, we continue our 10-day adventure by traversing the High Atlas Mountains via the picturesque Tizi-n-Tichka pass. Our destination is the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. From there, we proceed to the captivating Roses Valley, renowned for its annual Festival of Roses. Our journey takes us to Dades Gorges, where we spend the night in a local hotel.
Day 3: Dades Gorges to Merzouga Sahara via Todra Gorges and Erfoud [269 km]
Embark on an exploration of Todra Gorges, where you can hike through the narrow canyon, perfect for hikers. Next, we drive through Ziz Valley, famous for its fossil products, with an opportunity to visit a local fossil factory and shop. Our route leads us to Rissani, where we explore the vibrant local souk. Finally, we reach Merzouga, where the desert adventure begins. Enjoy a captivating camel ride into the desert dunes, leading to our desert camp. Here, you’ll experience an enchanting evening with desert dinner and Berber music around the campfire.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert Exploration & Nomad Family Visit [40 km]
Spend the day immersing yourself in the wonders of the Merzouga desert. Engage in activities such as sandboarding, dune skiing, and a 4×4 desert exploration. Visit Khamlia village, renowned for its music, and savor the unforgettable sunset over the dunes. Spend the night in Berber tents with local music and a delectable dinner.
Day 5: Merzouga to Midelt via Erfoud and Ziz Valley [263 km]
As the sun rises over the desert, we embark on a camel ride back to the hotel. After breakfast and a refreshing shower at the camp, we journey through Rissani and Erfoud before heading to Midelt in the Atlas mountains. Enjoy an overnight stay in a local hotel.
Day 6: Midelt to Fes via Azrou Cedar Forest and Ifrane [206 km]
Today’s adventure takes us to Midelt and then to Azrou and Ifrane, a renowned ski resort. We continue our journey to Fes, where you’ll spend the night in a local hotel.
Day 7: Guided Tour of Fes
Explore Fes with a guided tour that includes visits to Fontaine Ennajarine, the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the Karawiyyin Mosque, and traditional Moroccan crafts at the tannery and ceramics cooperative. Spend the afternoon discovering the captivating medina before enjoying dinner at a local restaurant. Your night is spent in a local riad or hotel in Fes.
Day 8: Fes to Chefchaouen, the Blue Pearl [198 km]
Today, we depart from Fes and journey to Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif mountains. Explore the charming medina of Chefchaouen and spend the night in a local hotel, including dinner.
Day 9: Chefchaouen to Casablanca via Rabat [339 km]
Our journey continues to Rabat, the capital city, where you’ll explore its main sights and attractions. We then proceed to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city, for an overnight stay.
Day 10: Casablanca to Marrakech [241 km]
