Day 1: Fes to Rabat via Meknes and Volubilis (207 km)
Your 8-day adventure begins with a departure from Fes at 8:30 am. Our first destination is Meknes, an ancient walled city, about 40 km from Fes. We’ll explore the city’s treasures, including the magnificent Bab Mansour gate. Afterward, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
Our journey continues to Rabat, where you’ll spend the night in your chosen accommodation.
Day 2: Rabat to Marrakech via Casablanca (324 km)
After breakfast, your exploration of Rabat includes the historic Odaya Castle. We then pass through Casablanca, where we’ll visit the renowned Hassan II Mosque, one of Morocco’s most impressive architectural marvels.
Our final destination for the day is Marrakech, where you’ll stay overnight.
Day 3: Marrakech Sightseeing Tour
Discover the magic of Marrakech on a guided tour. We’ll begin at the bustling Djemma El Fna square, where you can savor dried fruits and refreshing orange juice. Explore Marrakech’s iconic sites, including the Majorelle Gardens, Koutoubia Mosque, El Bahia Palace, the Quranic School, Ben Youssef Medersa, and the Saadian Tombs.

Day 4: Marrakech to Ouarzazate via Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah (195 km)
Our journey starts at 8:30 am, taking us through the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains and the Tichka Pass. Along the way, we’ll visit the Telouet Kasbah and enjoy lunch at the base of the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a remarkable historical site.
Explore the Kasbah and the nearby cinema studios before continuing to Ouarzazate, where you’ll spend the night.
Day 5: Ouarzazate to Dades Gorges via Skoura (132 km)
Start your day with breakfast before setting off to see the magnificent Taourirt Kasbah. We then journey to the Todra Gorges, with a stop in the town of M’gouna to admire its exquisite cosmetic products.
Lunch will be enjoyed along the way, and we’ll make a stop to explore caves before reaching Dades Gorge, where you’ll spend the night.
Day 6: Dades Gorges to Merzouga Sahara Desert (Erg Chebbi) (269 km)
After breakfast, we head to the Tudgha Gorges, with stops along the way as you desire. Our ultimate destination is the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. Enjoy lunch en route before arriving in Merzouga.
Upon reaching the dunes, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea. Experience the magic of a camel ride as you witness the sunset over the Sahara. Spend the night in a desert camp under the starry desert sky.
Day 7: Merzouga Desert to Midelt via Erfoud and Ziz Valley (334 km)
Start your day with breakfast and a refreshing shower. Our journey takes us through Erfoud, known for its unique fossils, and the picturesque Ziz Valley with its stunning palm tree landscapes. We then proceed to Midelt, nestled at the base of Ayachi Mountain, known as “the apple capital.” Spend the night in your chosen accommodation.
Day 8: Midelt to Fes via Azrou Cedar Forest and Ifrane (216 km)
After breakfast, we set off through the Tizi n Talghmt pass, also known as the “she-camel pass.” Along the way, we’ll stop at the Azrou Cedar Forest to admire Barbary Apes in their natural habitat. A delicious lunch will be served before we reach Fes. In the afternoon, we’ll take you to your accommodation or the airport, concluding your unforgettable 8-day journey through Morocco’s imperial cities and the Merzouga Sahara Desert.

I was a bit disappointed with the pacing of the 8-day tour. It felt rushed, and I wish we had more free time in each location. However, the guides were excellent.
