Our 12-day trip begins in Marrakech and leads you along captivating coastal trails to the enchanting city of Essaouira. Along the way, you’ll encounter authentic fishing villages, discover the wonders of the Argan tree, stroll on deserted sandy beaches, and marvel at rocky cliff formations.
As an ever-present companion, the roaring waves of the Atlantic Ocean will provide a stunning backdrop to your journey. The heart of our adventure lies in the Merzouga region, where you’ll embark on a camel trekking expedition in the Erg Chebbi dunes, guided by our experienced local experts. Our trusty camel convoy will transport your belongings, ensuring a seamless and comfortable trek.

12-day Marrakech Sahara Desert trip itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech – Hotel/Riad Transfer Upon your arrival at the airport, we will warmly welcome you and provide a comfortable transfer to your chosen hotel or Riad in Marrakech.
Day 2: Full-Day Marrakech Exploration with a Local Guide Embark on a captivating adventure as our local guide leads you on a walking tour through the bustling Medina. Savor a delightful lunch in the heart of the old town and continue your journey to discover the enchanting Majorelle Garden. Spend the night in Marrakech.
Day 3: Marrakech to Ouarzazate via Ait Ben Haddou [195 km] Today, we depart for Ouarzazate, crossing the majestic Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we visit the renowned Ait Benhaddou Kasbah and the Cinematographic Centers. Spend the night in Ouarzazate.
Day 4: Ouarzazate to Merzouga (Erg Chebbi) [367 km] Our journey continues as we head to the mesmerizing Merzouga region. En route, we explore the picturesque Rose Valley and visit the dramatic Todgha Gorge. Overnight stay in Merzouga.
Day 5: Explore Merzouga and Overnight in Sahara Desert Camp [40 km] Immerse yourself in the wonders of Merzouga. Experience the captivating rhythms of Gnawa music in Khamlia village. Later, embark on a camel ride to the Sahara desert and spend a magical night under Berber tents, gazing at the star-studded sky.
Day 6: Merzouga Camel Trek & Desert Camp Today, our adventure in the Sahara Desert continues. We ride camels through the mesmerizing dunes of Erg Chebbi, the highest in Morocco. Explore Berber nomadic life and the palm tree oasis. After lunch in Merzouga, we ride camels to our desert camp, where you’ll enjoy Berber drum music, a stunning desert sunset, and a traditional Moroccan dinner. Overnight in desert tents.
Day 7: Merzouga to Midelt via Rissani, Ziz Valley, and Errachidia [263 km] Head to Midelt, with stops in Rissani, Ziz Valley, and Errachidia to experience the diverse landscapes of Morocco. Spend the night in Midelt.
Day 8: Midelt to Fes via Atlas Mountains and Azrou Cedar Forest [204 km] Our journey takes us to Fes, passing through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Don’t miss the chance to feed the friendly monkeys in the Majestic Cedar Woods of Azrou. We continue through Ifran and spend the night in Fes.
Day 9: Fes Sightseeing with a Local Guide Explore the medieval medina of Fes alongside a knowledgeable local guide. Discover the fascinating Tanneries and Ceramics of the city. Rest for the night in a traditional riad in Fes.
Day 10: Fes to Rabat via Volubilis and Meknes [205 km] Depart Fes and visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Enjoy lunch in Meknes and spend the night in a hotel in Rabat.
Day 11: Rabat to Marrakech via Casablanca [323 km] Visit Rabat’s historical landmarks before heading to Casablanca. Explore the magnificent Hassan II Mosque or savor a drink or lunch at Rick’s Café, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Finally, make your way to Marrakech.
Day 12: Free Day in Marrakech – Departure Wrap up your trip with some last-minute shopping in Marrakech. Afterward, pack your bags and depart from Marrakech for your onward journey, marking the end of our 12-day adventure.

The 10-day Imperial Cities tour exceeded all expectations. From the bustling medinas of Marrakech to the historic ruins of Volubilis, every day was a new adventure.
Disfrutamos muchísimo el tour. Muy organizado. Nos permitió recorrer un montón de destinos en muy poco tiempo. Pudimos aprender de la historia, geografía, principales actividades económicas, cultura y gastronomía de Marruecos, en el recorrido. Los alojamientos fueron en unos bellos riads, muy cómodos y pintorescos, y con ricos desayunos y algunos casos, hasta cenas. Destacamos la vista del atardecer y amanecer en el desierto, en una experiencia única trasladados en un tranquilo paseo con dromedarios, atravesando las grandes dunas. Interesantisimo los recorridos por las distintas medinas y sus tours históricos. Pudimos compartir también unos momentos con pobladores nómades que nos compartieron de su cultura y tradiciones y nos agasajaron con productos típicos. Fuimos acompañados por Zahid. Resaltamos su calidez, buena predisposición a responder todos nuestros interrogantes y orientarnos e informarnos sobre cada uno de los sitios que recorrimos. Además de todo ello, operativo frente a cualquier tipo de imprevisto. Todo el recorrido que pensó fue completo, nutritivo y pudimos hasta descansar y divertirnos muchísimo. Sumamente agradecidos!!
